San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur. Within the framework of the traditional Art Walk or Art Route, this Thursday the artist Barbara Serazzi presented her collection of works entitled “Utopia” at the Patricia Mendoza art gallery, located in the heart of San José del Cabo.
Utopia is confirmed by 9 pieces, canvases worked with oil, threads and nails. Each work is dedicated to the reflection and perspective that Serazzi has of contemporary society, but also, piece by piece, some animal that is in danger of extinction is portrayed, to make the viewer aware.
From a dancer dressed in flamingos to a leopard with a caged heart, each piece weighs up to 40 kilos due to the material used.
“I did not want to do something gloomy, all species are alive to reflect that we still have a chance, there is still light that we as humans can turn on, there is always a door to open so as not to reach the last, which is extinction, “he said. the artist.
She explained that since the beginning of her career as an architect she has been studying artistic techniques and for three years she has lived in the municipality of Los Cabos and has dedicated herself to art.
“I came to live here three years ago, living here and exhibiting here puts me in an artistic mecca, that is San José, an artistic mecca because people from all over the world visit us and for me it was important to be in the center of everything and bring my work to the widest possible public” he commented.
The exhibition will be available to the public for two weeks, at the Patricia Mendoza gallery, located in Álvaro Obregón Mijares, in the Centro neighborhood, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Along with this exhibition, the Art Garden was held where dozens of local artists and artisans promoted their work; A large capacity was observed in the Mijares public square, thanks to the arrival of national and international tourists to the destination.
