San José de Gracia is ready for the 2022 Nautical Race – El Sol del Centro

Everything is ready in the municipality of San José de Gracia for the 2022 Nautical Race, which will celebrate its fifth edition from July 22 to 24, contemplating the participation of around 20 pilots from different parts of the Republic.

In this regard, the director of tourism of the municipality of San José de Gracia, Merced García de Luna, indicated that for the edition at the door, the attendance of 10,000 people per day is expected, since the pause in activities generated by the pandemic, makes these types of events attractive to visitors.

Meanwhile, García de Luna added that not only athletes will visit, but also tourists from the region, which would generate an economic spill of approximately 5 million pesos.

The pilots will be arriving at this demarcation next friday 22, the same day that the registration will begin; while the days of competition will be the saturday 23 y sunday july 24. There will also be stunts in the water, 4×4 trucks and vintage cars on display, 1/4 mile water races and medieval fights, two activities that will make their debut at this event.

For his part, the coordinator of promotion and tourist attention of the Secretary of Tourism (Sectur), Eduardo Vilatoba Chapa, declared that with this type of event interest is generated among the local, regional and national population, to attract a visit to one of the magical towns of Aguascalientes.

To conclude, the mayor of San José de Gracia, Armando Rodríguez Domínguez, thanked the support provided by the State Tourism Secretariat to promote activities that allow the strengthening of magical towns, as is the case with this municipality.
