Today begins the 15th season for the Red Halcones in the second division of Argentine basketball. It will be the 529th game in its history in the divisional. In 11 opportunities he did not start well, 3 were wins.
San Isidro’s first participation in the second division dates back to 1998, after obtaining promotion from League B, his absolute debut was with Echagüe in Paraná on September 25, losing 98 to 82.
In 1999/2000, he fell in Colón, province of Entre Ríos with La Unión 91 to 72. The next was the same initial duel, but this time it was the victory of red 111 to 97 in overtime on October 13 of the year 2000, in said TNA he stayed with the third place falling in the semifinals with Gimnasia de La Plata.
The first debut as a local just arrived in 2001/2002 receiving Central Entrerriano de Gualeguaychú on September 28, 2001 being surpassed 95 to 88. In 2002/2003 he did not start in the best way in Paraná, losing with Echagüe 90 to 63 , season that ended with the relegation of the category in the playout with Tucumán BB.
After eight years of absence, San Isidro returned to play the second national category on September 30, 2011. That day he received Oberá Tennis Club de Misiones at the “Severo Robledo” which was reopening losing 81 to 73.
The next tournament, 2012/2013, he debuted in Río Cuarto against Banda Norte, falling 83 to 80 in overtime. In 2013/2014 he also played before the cast of the Southern Empire, but at home, it was 74 to 73 for the green.
In the 2014/2015 edition, on October 16, 2014 it fell widely from 82 to 64 with Barrio Parque and in Córdoba. In 2015/2016 the first step was taken in the “Nest”, defeating Tiro Federal de Morteros 84 to 55. In 2016/2017 again against Barrio Parque in the provincial capital, the triumph of the “green” 67 to 65.
In 2017/2018 the first incursion was in Morteros, defeat against Federal Shot 68 to 58. While, in 2018/2019, San Isidro defeated Unión de Santa Fe in Corrientes Street 82 to 65, a campaign that would end up reaching the final for the ascent.
The last premiere game was on Friday, October 25, 2019, also in Córdoba. He lost to Barrio Parque from 76 to 61, a season that was later suspended due to the pandemic.
In this 2021, it will be in the afternoon. Red at 4.30 pm plays with Riachuelo de La Rioja, and as has happened on so many occasions, it will be in “La Docta”.
