After the positive cases found in the “Maria Immacolata” nursing home in San Fratello, the monitoring activity through rapid swabs in the mountain community has been continuing for some days.
“About 100 tests have already been performed and other positive results have come out – writes the mayor, Salvatore Sidoti Pinto -, until last night there were not many symptomatic people, in any case under medical supervision. Until now, no one has needed hospitalization “.
56 tested positive yesterday, while in this morning’s screening another 18 tested positive for the rapid test.
Of the 74 total positives on rapid tests, 30 have already tested positive for the molecular swab, all in the nursing home: 22 patients and 8 care workers. In addition to the cases in the nursing home, there are another 28 cases of positivity to the quick test, 3 concern pupils of the Elementary School and another 25 people.

In all likelihood, the elderly who tested positive in the next few hours will be transferred to other facilities. Their health is good at the moment. Only some of them are mildly symptomatic.
This morning at 9.30 the new screening with the USCA Doctors began near the sports field.
