One of the largest flower wholesale markets in the country is gearing up to offer San Francisco residents quality and freshness for Valentine’s Day.
People will have a variety to choose from from roses to lilies for that special someone who makes them sigh.
“I’m making arrangements and buying flowers for Valentine’s Day orders,” said Erika Sánchez, who runs a flower business in Oakland.
Those who sell their flowers in the market say that Valentine’s Day is the second busiest day after Mother’s Day.
Merchants say that this year they will have more profits, since Valentine’s Day coincided with the Chinese New Year celebrations.
The San Francisco Rose Market has provided flowers to the area for 200 years.
It is estimated that people throughout the country spend around 21 million dollars on gifts during this date.
