Police arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with stabbing two Asian women in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Police Department responded to reports of being stabbed near Force Street and Market Street shortly before 5 pm. Two Asian adult women who were stab wounds were taken to the hospital, but the extent of the injuries is unknown, according to the agency.
Around 7 pm, police arrested 54-year-old San Francisco, who lives in 600 blocks of Eddie Street, in connection with the attack.
Prior to his arrest, bureau spokesman officer Robert Rueca said authorities did not find evidence of hate crimes, but did not deny the motivation.
