SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORIS.– In a demonstration of strength and dedication, the host athletes of the San Francisco de Macoris Olympic wrestling came out victorious in the cibao tournament of that discipline, held at the Hermanas Mirabal Club in the same sector.
Gladiators from the provinces of Valverde, Santiago, La Vega, María Trinidad Sánchez and Duarte participated in the interesting activity, who gallantly sought victory, achieved by the hosts.
The Olympic wrestling tournament began with the invocation to GOD, by the President of the Olympic Wrestling Association of the Duarte Félix (Mingo) Hiciano Province, immediately the Mayor of San Francisco de Macorís, Don Siquió NG addressed everyone those present urging them to be disciplined, achieve the best grades in their educational centers and obey the guidelines of their athletes and leaders, while expressing that the Municipal Council of SFM will continue to collaborate with sports, through the Sports Union and the associations.
Master Balbuena from the Santiago Wrestling Association gave the main speech on behalf of the Dominican Federation of Amateur Wrestling (FEDOLA) urging everyone to practice clean sport.
The sports oath was made by the outstanding athlete Balbuena of the Santiago team.
Professor William Hernández, President of the Sports Union of the Duarte Province, served as master of ceremonies for the protocol act and also called for doing the right thing, the just thing, the prudent thing to advance in sports practices.
