GREEN BAY.- Robbie Gould continued to perfect in the playoffs and put the San Francisco 49ers one step away from what would be their second Super Bowl in three seasons.
Gould kicked a 45-yard field goal as the game expired on snow-whitened ground, and the 49ers continued to surprise in the playoffs, beating the Green Bay Packers 13-10 on Saturday.
The 49ers (12-7) won the NFC divisional matchup over Aaron Rodgers and advanced to the NFC championship matchup, scheduled for January 30, against either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (14 -4) or the Los Angeles Rams (13-5).
Rodgers fell to 0-4 in postseason matchups against the 49ers. San Francisco beat the Packers 37-20 two seasons ago in the NL final before falling 31-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
The Packers (13-5) were the best team in the NL in the regular season for the second straight year. But again they sank before the Super Bowl.
