Dr. José Alberto Mariano Lázaro has been named the new head of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Service at the San Carlos Clinical University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. Sence 1996, he’s been a key member of the hospital’s epidemiology unit within the madrid Health Service (Sermas), and since June 2020, he’s served as the acting head of the service.

He also serves as an associate professor at the UCM’s Department of Public and Maternal and Child Health.
