According to TMZ, Spears filed a police report alleging that she was assaulted by the French player’s work team. The singer claimed that she was among a group of fans trying to get into the casino restaurant and so she took Wembanyama.
“Something happened, a little bit, when I was walking with a little bit of team security to a restaurant,” Wembanyama told ESPN. “We were in the hallway. There were a lot of people, so people were calling me, obviously. There was a person calling me, but we spoke beforehand for sure.”
“I couldn’t stop. That person was calling me, ‘Sir, sir,’ and that person grabbed me from behind,” Wembanyama said. “I didn’t see what happened because I was walking in a straight line and I didn’t stop. That person grabbed me from behind, not my shoulder, he grabbed me from behind. I just know that security pushed her. I don’t know. I don’t know how hard but security pushed her away. I didn’t stop to look so I could go in and have a nice dinner.”
