iguazu (LaVozDeCataratas) The headquarters of the San Antonio Women’s Police Station. It worked in another space and now has its own place.
In 2020 the project had been devised and In January 2021, it had begun to operate within the facilities of the local Police Station, until the municipality offered a space.
There was a joint interest from the Headquarters of the XII Regional Unit, the Municipal Executive and the members of the San Antonio Neighborhood Security Forum to set up a Women’s Police Station, so that police personnel could attend to specific problems such as acts of family and gender violence whose complaints are growing.
For it Police personnel were restructured, with a police station chief, a junior officer, three non-commissioned officers and an agent who have been attached to that unit since yesterday. It is located next to the sectional, at the corner of Calle Padre Torres and Gobernador Bermúdez.
With the support of municipal authorities, the building was conditioned to meet the needs of the community.
