The National EMS Academy provides a two-week paid training program for EMR/ECA certification. Aspiring EMTs can choose an eight-week or shorter program, or combine EMR/ECA training with a 12-week EMT program. Paramedic training is available through an 18-month part-time course or a seven-month accelerated full-time program, both offering paid training opportunities. Some offers come while you’re still in class, and then you can also go and work for any other private ambulance service or get your foot in the door with a fire service,
