Samuel L. Jackson and Co.: Hollywood’s highest-grossing actors

  • Samuel L. Jackson has the highest combined box office earnings in the United States.
  • For women, Scarlett Johansson tops the list.
  • Leonardo DiCaprio is the highest-grossing film maker.

Which actresses and which actors really make the box office ring? A study by “TicketSource” has now investigated this question. According to this, Samuel L. Jackson (73) is the actor with the highest accumulated box office earnings in the USA. He has taken in a total of $5.7 billion. Robert Downey Jr. (57) followed him in second place with around 5.4 billion dollars, followed by Tom Hanks (65) with 5 billion dollars.

Zoe Saldana has appeared in three of the top five grossing films

Scarlett Johansson (37) tops the list for women. The Black Widow actress is worth $5.2 billion. Her “Avengers” colleague Zoe Saldana (44) comes in second place with $3.9 billion, while “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson (32) completes the podium with $3 billion. What is particularly impressive, however, is Saldana’s summary. She starred in three of the top five grossing films of all time with Avatar, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The study also looked at which actresses and actors bring in the most revenue per film on average. “Tina – What’s Love Got To Do With It” actress Angela Bassett (63) is at the top for women. The actress has starred in 14 films, grossing an average of $97.2 million. Cameron Diaz (49) came second with $88 million, while Sandra Bullock (57) was third with $76.6 million.

The leader among men is none other than Leonardo DiCaprio (47). The Titanic star averaged $97.5 million per film. Closely followed by Jim Carrey (60) – the comedy hero comes to 96.49 billion dollars and is only just ahead of Harrison Ford (79). The ‘Indiana Jones’ actor’s gross per movie is approximately $96.46 million.
