The governor of the state, Samuel García, is on a new working tour of Austin, Texas, where he will promote the construction of a freight and passenger train that will even go as far as Dallas.
He will also participate in a mobility summit and meet with venture capital funds.
The first activity, according to what he said in his social media stories, and confirmed by the State in a statement, will take place this Tuesday, when he will meet and then have dinner with Travis County Judge Andy Brown, which is where the city of San Antonio is located.
With this, he will sign a letter in which he will ask the governments of the United States and Mexico to support the construction of the train that will not only go from Monterrey to San Antonio, Texas, but beyond.
In addition, García will add that the train does not cross into the United States through Nuevo Laredo but through the Colombian customs office in the municipality of Anáhuac, which, according to him, “is safer.”

The incoming federal government has made the construction of passenger trains a priority in terms of infrastructure, although for the north of the country it plans to build one from Mexico City to Monterrey and then to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
García said that if the construction of the train is completed, it would help to increase and consolidate nearshoring, in which Nuevo León is the number one destination.
García’s second activity will be to participate this Wednesday in the MOVE America Electromobility Conference, which is attended by companies, governments, experts and mobility service providers.
There, Garcia will expound the conference “New Leon as a Hub of Nearshoring and best option as a reliable Supply chain in EV industry”.

This summit, it has been reported, brings together those who are redefining mobility in the world.
