The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, arrived this Thursday at Washington D.C. for a brief work tour, in which he highlighted his meeting with members of the United States Department of the Treasury.
Through a video on social networks, the state president reported being in the company of the delegation to make the short tour of the state of Washington, stressing that it will be active and important.
“It is already afternoon here in Washington, just 12 noon, we are very happy, we are arriving here in the capital, Washington DC, the delegation accompanies me, the Secretary of Agricultural Development, Economy, Culture and Tourism is here, we are going to make a short tour, but very active, very important,” he said.
García Sepúlveda also commented that he is going to have the Nuevo Leon week where they plan to show off the state of Nuevo León in the Institute of Culture in Washington.
“We are going to have the week in Nuevo León, just like in the Vatican where we went to show off culture, gastronomy and tourism, now it’s time here in Washington at the Institute of Culture and I thank Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma who helped us a lot to make this great event to continue promoting our state.”

samuel garcia pointed out that in the meeting with members of the Treasury Department they talked about him record foreign direct investment that Nuevo León registered in 2022, which was 4 thousand 397 million dollars.
In addition, they addressed the issue of modernizing the infrastructure of the Colombian Portwhich seeks to reach second place in collections in all of Mexico.
“We have already talked with the Treasury Department about everything we are doing in Nuevo León, all the public investment, everything we are investing in security, what we are going to do in Customs, which is going to be the most important and safest of Mexico,” García Sepúlveda said.
On his first day of work tour, the governor also met with executives from Americas, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and presented the strategic projects of the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Regional and Agricultural Developmentto establish a future collaboration regarding import, export and borders.
He later held a private meeting with members of the Office of the United States Trade Representativeto address the competitive advantages of investing in Nuevo León, as well as the Regional Development Plans.
