Samuel Eto’o has made his own prediction as to who will be the ‘new god of football’. In a statement to The nationhe claimed that Cristiano was another god and that he and Messi were the players who dominate today’s football with their outstanding performances.
However, Eto’o also said that another God will emerge when Messi and Cristiano step down and give us no more joys. According to Barcelona legend, “another God will come when Messi and Cristiano get tired of giving us these joys. This new God will be Kylian Mbappé.”
At only 21 years old, Mbappé has already won 4 Ligue 1 titles, several Coupe de France titles and received numerous individual distinctions. He also won the FIFA World Cup, a feat that neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi has managed to accomplish in their careers.
Samuel Eto’o’s darling is said to be considering joining Real Madrid in the near future, to take the next step and become football’s next undisputed star as Ronaldo and Messi approach the end of their dominance.
