The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro now supports binaural audio recording, and the Galaxy Watch brings zoom controls to the Camera app.
Samsung has announced new updates for Galaxy Watch devices running Wear OS 3 and. Now, this is not your typical software update that only aims to eliminate bugs. Instead, they will allow users to take advantage of new features that will elevate content capture capabilities with support. The update will introduce the ability to capture 360-degree audio with the Buds 2 Pro and smooth zoom functionality when using the Galaxy Watch.
After the update, users will be able to capture 360-degree audio with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro just by pairing it with a Galaxy smartphone. This is made possible by using the microphone inside each earbud and synchronized recording with video to deliver immersive 360-degree sound. Samsung advertises that this is now possible thanks to the technology, a new standard for audio transmission that takes place over Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) radio. In terms of benefits, we’re looking at improved power efficiency, improved audio features when streaming to wireless devices, and more.
Samsung is also introducing a new update to the Galaxy Watch’s Camera Controller app, giving users more control when framing their shots. In the latest update, users will be able to control zoom settings from the app by simply rotating the bezel or pressing on the watch face. The 360-degree audio update will roll out starting today. While the series and series update will be available at the beginning of February.

Of course, not all smartphones will be compatible, as Samsung requires a smartphone running or higher with LE Audio support. For now, that only includes an extension.
