Jakarta (ANTARA) – It is reported that Samsung has stopped the development of the Galaxy S22 FE and will not produce a successor to the S FE series, in order to optimize the production of the highest series of Galaxy S phones, namely the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The news was first reported by local media The Elec and mentioned that this was done in order to overcome the problem of chip shortages.
Citing GSM Arena, Wednesday, making this decision is also quite difficult for Samsung because the S FE series is actually a flagship phone with pocket-friendly prices so it is quite awaited by the public.
However, the good news is that the S FE series will not be discontinued and will be maintained with the possibility that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 FE in 2023.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 FE should have the same flagship chipset as the Ultra but the image of the Galaxy S22 Ultra accompanied by the S Pen made the South Korean manufacturer rethink its strategy for 2022.
Samsung has plans to produce 3 million Fan Edition units, and that number will remain the goal for the S23 FE.
Along with the decision, the company headquartered in Seoul is reportedly also getting stronger in achieving its sales target of 10 million units of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
So it’s no wonder that the Galaxy S22 FE was finally released and Samsung maintained its sales strategy for the Galaxy S22 Ultra by 30 percent more in early 2023 with a target of 13 million units.
