Samsung will hold its first Galaxy Unpacked of 2023 on February 1. The Galaxy S23 should get all the honors
The rumors that had been circulating for some time were therefore correct. Samsung just announced its first event Galaxy unpacked of this year 2023 will be held next February 1st, at 19:00 French time. And unlike last year’s events, the South Korean giant is perfectly comfortable with the idea of a physics presentation. The media were invited to Masonic auditorium from San Francisco. The event will also be broadcast live on the Samsung website.

The Asian manufacturer didn’t specify what to expect during this presentation, but its not exactly subtle tease of a launch of the Galaxy S23 range, including clearly hinting at a triple camera module on the invitation (see the image in high) and the nature of its pre-order offers. Americans can reserve future Galaxy devices as early as February 1. Those who signed up to book that day will receive $50 credit to use if they pre-order one device, or $100 if they order two.

But what will this Galaxy S23 have to offer? If the various leaks are to be believed, the South Korean giant has decided to ditch its homemade Exynos chips that it frequently uses in some markets (including Europe) to use only Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips. The S23 Ultra could also pack a 200MP main sensor camera instead of the 108MP sensor aboard last year’s model, with the S23 and S23+ making do with 50MP. Although the overall design does not change much, we could see improvements in the level of the front camera, emergency messaging via satellite and why not a screen with flat edges on the Ultra variant.
