Samsung promise to provide security update patches or security updates for five years for some HP flagship.
Samsung extended the previous security patch update for only four years.
Smartphone list Samsung The ones that will get updates in the next five years are the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy XCover 5, and Galaxy Tab Active 3.
Samsung ensure that the enterprise edition of HP is targeting the business market because enterprise smartphones will be managed by the company with their own software and work applications.
Samsung also complements the enterprise version of the smartphone Knox Suite which serves as a command center for the company as quoted by Android Authority.
Although this enterprise edition version can be obtained online, it is believed that ordinary consumers will not need the additional software provided Samsung.
This security update patch is said to be divided into monthly or quarterly. However, it is also possible that Samsung will provide five years of security updates for flagship series other than the enterprise edition.
Previous Samsung only offers four years of security updates like those on the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S8 phones.
