This year will be the year of fast OLED monitors and Samsung is another brand making news. This time it is the official presentation of three new models, namely the Odyssey OLED G6, G8 and G9. All are equipped with OLED Glare-Free technology to minimize glare. They meet DisplayHDR True Black 400, they also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro synchronization technology. We have two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 each. There is also the option of wall mounting or height adjustment and tilt adjustment even for the largest 49″ model, the smaller 27″ and 32″ versions also have the option of pivoting.
Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD) is the largest model with a 49″ diagonal and a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels (aspect ratio 32:9, basically two monitors with 2560×1440 pixels side by side). It achieves a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 0.03 ms GTG. It supports the Smart TV function (so it can also be used as a TV), Gaming Hub and Core Lighting+, i.e. ambient lighting.
Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) offers a 32″ diagonal and UHD 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels), we also have a 240Hz frequency and a response time of 0.03 ms. Like its bigger brother, this model also supports functions such as Smart TV, Gaming Hub and Core Lighting+. Both 32 ” and 49″ models also feature the Multi Control function, which allows the connection of Samsung monitors with other devices of this company, such as Galaxy Boox laptops, tablets and Galaxy phones, where data can easily be copied via the monitor, for example (similar functionality is also offered by Apple, for example). The monitors also support SmartThings Hub for connecting smart IoT devices.
He’s the last one here Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD). The diagonal is 27″, the resolution is reduced to QHD (2560×1440 pixels), but the refresh rate, on the other hand, increases to 360 Hz. GTG responses remain at 0.03 ms.
