Samsung ViewFinity S9 with 5K screen is expected to launch globally in August
At 2023 CES, Samsung launched the ViewFinity S9 5K screen, which has 99% DCI-P3, built-in color calibration, 4K video camera and other functions. ViewFinity S9 has been launched in Korea in June, and now it is announced that it will be officially launched in the global market in August.
Samsung ViewFinity S9 adopts the same metal structure as Apple Studio Display in appearance, and can freely adjust the height, tilt and other angles, and has functions such as frosted screen borders.
Viewfinity S9 and Apple Studio Display are very similar in many specifications. Both screens are 27 inches, provide 5K resolution, support P3 wide color gamut, and have built-in speakers. But apart from the price, the video lens supports up to 4K, the connection port has Thunderbolt 4 *1, Mini DisplayPort *1 and USB-C *3, as well as the function of Intelligent Eye Care to protect the eyes.
According to foreign media 9to5mac, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K screen will be released on samsung.com in August, but the specific date has not been disclosed. As for the price, it is priced at US$1,599 (approximately NT$49,600).
