INDOZONE.ID – South Korean technology giant, Samsung, is reportedly targeting 20 million sales for the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.
The same target has been set for the two newest models that will be launched, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in 2024.
Samsung is also reported to be shipping 10 million foldable phones this year, consisting of 3 million units of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, as well as 7 million units of the two current models.
Previously, Samsung’s delivery target for 2023 was 16 million units.

Samsung did this because they saw their competitor, Huawei, which released thinner and lighter folding phones such as the Mate X3 and Mate X5.
Yes, Huawei continues to develop foldable cellphone designs even though it faces major restrictions due to United States sanctions against the company.
On the other hand, Samsung, despite having more access to the technology, stuck to a much-criticized design with a prominent crease and a tall cover display.

Samsung will also reportedly make major changes to the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in 2024.
