Since the iPhone 15 series switched to USB-C interface, some users who like to shoot short videos with iPhone 15 Pro have begun to pay attention to mobile SSD, which facilitates their video storage and backup. The T9 SSD recently released by Samsung is their first mobile SSD with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface. In addition to focusing on high-speed reading and writing, it also has excellent heat dissipation performance.
2000MB/s high-speed reading and writing
The Samsung T9 SSD has a sequential read and write speed of up to 2,000MB/s, which is twice as fast as the previous generation T7 SSD using the Gen 2×1 interface. It can theoretically transfer a 4GB file in 2 seconds. In order to maintain the transfer speed of T9 SSD, Samsung has specially equipped Dynamic Thermal Guard, which protects the SSD through advanced nickel-plated controller and excellent heat dissipation performance, automatically monitoring and maintaining the optimal operating temperature to reduce performance degradation.
Three capacity options
Samsung T9 SSD is available in three capacities: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB, priced at US$139.99, US$239.99 and US$439.99 respectively (approximately HK$1,096, US$1,879 and US$3,445), with dimensions of 88 x 60 x 14mm and a weight of 122g. Samsung claims that it can withstand drops of 3m, operate normally from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and provides AES 256-bit hardware encryption protection. This SSD comes with two USB-C to C and USB-A to C cables, making it easy to connect to different devices. It is a pity that the exclusive program Samsung Magician 8.0 is only available in Android, Mac and Windows versions. There is currently no iOS version, and it cannot perform firmware updates or health checks for T9 SSD on iPhone.
