Samsung supplied around 400,000 copies of Galaxy Fold – Tablets and phones – News

Samsung delivered between 400,000 and 500,000 copies of the Galaxy Fold last year. This is what an executive of the company says in an interview. It was already clear that there were fewer than a million when Samsung denied another chief executive’s statement.

Samsung CEO held an interview with reporters about which Yonhap news agency is writing still a blow to the arm, by saying that he “thinks” it is between 400,000 and 500,000 copies. The phone was available in a limited number of countries since September.

A Samsung top man seemed to say last month that Samsung had sold a million copies of the Fold, but the manufacturer denied that the sales had already reached that milestone. The foldable smartphone goes this week in the Netherlands for sale, four months after the release in France, among others.

Samsung already wanted to release the Fold at the beginning of May, but there was a line when the manufacturer postponed the release worldwide when there problems came out with the construction of the telephone. Samsung has overcome these problems with placing covers over the hinge and enlarging the plastic top layer of the screen to below the bezel, making it no longer look like a removable screen protector. Tweakers published one a few months ago review of the Galaxy Fold.
