The Odyssey Neo G7 43 inch is a new gaming monitor from Samsung that is the company’s first with a flat screen surface and mini LED lighting for higher contrast and more dimming zones for HDR content.
The screen has 4k resolution with up to 144 hertz refresh rate and 1 millisecond response time. It is certified for HDR 10 Plus and Vesa Display HDR 600, but despite the mini led lighting, it only has 400 nits of brightness.
On the back there are both display port and hdmi 2.1 connectors for connecting to a computer or modern game consoles. The screen also has a rudimentary operating system with, among other things, support for streaming content from mobiles and game streaming services.
The screen works as a USB hub and also has ethernet, wifi and bluetooth built in as well as stereo speakers with 20 watt output power.
