Samsung starts releasing Android 12 on Galaxy S21 series – Tablets and phones – News

Samsung says it has started releasing the One UI 4 upgrade for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones. It concerns Samsung’s version of Android 12. It is not yet known when users in the Netherlands and Belgium will receive the upgrade.

One UI 4 is coming first to the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra and will be released later for the Galaxy Z series and earlier models from the Galaxy S and Note series. Samsung has not yet announced exact details about this in his official announcement. It only states that the rollout of One UI 4 officially started on Monday.

It is not yet clear when Dutch and Belgian owners of Galaxy S21 smartphones will receive the Android 12 upgrade. Samsung previously released a beta, but it did not appear in the Benelux. Samsung will not release the upgrade in all regions at once; it may take several months for the upgrade to be rolled out globally.

Possible upgrade schedules

Twitter user Tron posts an image which would come from the Korean Samsung Members app. It would contain a schedule of when the upgrade will be released for other devices. However, Samsung would have removed that image again, so it is not certain whether that information is correct.

Users from Brazil and the Middle East got a schedule. Those regions will get the Android 12 upgrade later than Korea. In the Middle East this is from December and in Brazil from January for the S21 series.
