Samsung released for smart TVs of the 2020 and 2021 model years, new firmware with version number 2500.0. Thanks to it, TVs gained access to various cloud gaming services, including Xbox Game Pass and GeForce Now. Now users can play the latest gaming projects, including Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077, without a game console or computer, just on a TV with an Internet connection.

New firmware for older Samsung smart TVs added support for gaming services Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft, GeForce Now from NVIDIA (in beta version for 2020 TV models), as well as Luna from Amazon. In addition, it provides support for lesser-known and popular cloud gaming services Utomik, Antstream Arcade and Blacknut Cloud Gaming. Applications for running them on 2020 and 2021 TV models can be downloaded separately, even if the TVs do not support Samsung Gaming Hub.

The company listed smart TV models that received support for the above gaming services. Among the 2021 TVs, the following models are listed: QN800A, QN850A, QN900A, WS1A, QN700A, LS03A, AU7000, AU8000, AU9000, QN95A-QN85A and Q80A-Q50A. 2020 models include: M70A, M50A, Q950ST/900ST/800T, Q95T/90T/80T/79T, Q60T, TU8500, TU8000, TU7000, LS01T, LS03T, LS03TS, LS05T and LST7T/9A.

The most popular game controllers are supported for game control: Xbox gamepads for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2, Xbox Adaptive, PlayStation DualShock 4 and DualSense, branded controllers for Amazon Luna, NVIDIA Shield, Logitech F310, F510 and F710, PowerA MOGA XP5-X Plus Bluetooth and Joytron CYVOX DX.

Samsung also announced a new cloud gaming service, Boosteroid, which it will add to the Gaming Hub interface on TV models released in 2022. Boosteroid allows you to stream games from your own libraries to Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net and other services. But for this you need to have a sufficiently powerful PC on which to run games.

Samsung will launch cloud gaming platform Gaming Hub for its TVs, monitors and projectors in 2022. Selected Gaming Hub features and apps were also later added to 2021 TV models.
