Samsung shows 8k TV with virtually no screen edges – Image and sound – News

There are therefore a number of differences between QLED (Quatum LCD) and OLED (organic light-emitting diode).
For example, the OLED TVs use special pixels that can light up or dim individually and these are real OLED displays.
With QLED there is a special layer over the normal LCD screen (no Oled), consisting of nanocrystals.

Samsung was very clear about the meaning of QLED.
QLED is a marketing term that they put on the market to identify all televisions that use quantum dots.
The term is also not exclusive to Samsung, they encourage other brands to also label their quantum dot TVs with QLED.

QLED therefore appears to have been introduced primarily to form a marketing counterweight for OLED.

Whatever you choose is always a matter of personal taste
