It is common knowledge that Apple does not appear to actively bet on foldable smartphones. Even with many brands betting on this technology, this doesn’t seem to be of interest, at least for now. That is expected to change as early as 2024, when Apple reveals its first proposal, according to Samsung.
This is not yet an officially confirmed certainty, but everything suggests it is happening. The big question now is whether the iPhone will be the first to have access to this novelty or if, on the other hand, the iPad will be equipped with this capability.
Samsung has revealed what it knows
The rumors and ideas presented point out that Apple is testing the hardware needed to make a foldable smartphone. This is an almost impossible path to overcome and therefore it is time to start experimenting with all the solutions.
Even so, Apple seems to be taking some time to present its solution, although these technologies are starting to show great maturity. Changes may be on the way and Apple's biggest rival, Samsung, has now revealed its competitor's plans.
iPhone or iPad? Only Apple knows

At the same meeting, Samsung came up with an important number for this market area. In the coming years, foldable smartphones and other similar devices are expected to grow at an annual rate of 80% per year.
Apple's arrival in this new area of the smartphone market is highly anticipated. With almost total control of Samsung, it will be important for its growth that the Cupertino giant takes on its role and further increases the presence of foldable smartphones.
