Samsung S23U vs S22U: A Detailed Comparison of Battery Consumption and Endurance

Well, Exynos and SGD were quite similar in terms of battery consumption in the S22 series. Perhaps the basic S22 suffered more than the larger variants due to the smaller battery. The S23 series with SG8G2 has increased endurance, but we are talking about maybe 2 hours of SoT with the S23U in addition to the S22U, i.e. some 20%, but not only the SoC plays a role in this, but also the display, so in the end it is perhaps only 10% more economical, which is not a fundamental difference. Well, not every user stares at their mobile for 10 hours a day to be able to discharge it. I charge the S23U every three days and I have some reserve, I wouldn’t have that reserve with the S22, but my SoT is 0.5-2h a day, not 10 🙂

I have the SG8G1 in a Tab S8+, 10090 mAh, 12.4″ large display and it gives 10+ hours of SoT when idle, with wifi+bt on, push notifications, put away in a drawer, it lasts about 2 weeks. It basically doesn’t heat up at all when under load , it will heat up the charging more. For me, the excellent SoC and performance of the Tab S8+ feels the same as the S23U, the same system, build and applications are running on the oobu.
