Samsung reveals the reason for presenting the Galaxy S21 FE 5G in early 2022

JawaPos.com – Samsung usually presents the latest S Series at the beginning of each model year. Now, opening 2022, instead of presenting the new Galaxy S Series which should have arrived on the S22 model, Samsung has actually released an economical variant of the Galaxy S21 which launched last January 2021. It is the Galaxy S21 FE 5G.

Explaining this, Lo Khing Seng, Head of Mobile eX-perience Business, Samsung Electronics Indonesia explained, Samsung wants to first bring affordable high-end devices to their consumer category in this series, namely the millennial generation.

“We want to focus on delivering world-class technology that makes consumers’ lives better. Galaxy S21 FE 5G is a real example,” said Khing Seng in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/1).

Khing Seng continued, “We have explored insights from thousands of Galaxy Fans and identified which aspects they like the most in their premium line. One of the insights we found was that many fans love Galaxy devices because of the consistency of innovation on offer.

This is said to be something that the premium range has had by driving innovation in mobile devices for more than a decade. At the same time, according to him, Samsung wants to understand trends, adapt in all circumstances, and remain dynamic, especially for Generation Z, the future generation.

“This is one way Samsung continues to lead innovation. More and more our Galaxy Fans are young millennials and Gen Z. We call them the authentic generation,” continued Khing Seng.

He said, millennials tend to want to present themselves as they are, as opposed to what they think the world wants them to be. “This is where we want to present ourselves, along with all the innovation and technology we have to support them in showing every epic side of their lives,” continued Khing Seng.

In the Asia Pacific region, citing McKinsey research in 2021, nearly a third of Gen Z spend six hours or more a day on their smartphone, significantly higher than millennials (22 percent) and Gen X (10 percent). One of them is Indonesian Gen-Z who spend an average of 8.5 hours a day on their smartphone.

Meanwhile, the DeLoitte report in 2021 revealed that 70 percent of Gen Z and young millennials like to share interesting content directly on social media to a wide audience, where 40 percent of the younger generation likes to share content creations on social media about various things that have important value. for them, examples are things that have inspirational value from what they know as well as issues that are relevant today.

These social savvy creators are said to use smartphones as a tool to turn their ideas and passions into reality and share them with the world.

Khing Seng added, to adapt to changing consumer behavior, Samsung prioritizes products related to functionality, mobile user experience, affordability, and pays attention to responsibility for sustainability.

“Our hope is that all of these things can reach consumers in Indonesia as well as support the way they work, express and be creative. We turn our passion into innovation and technology that consumers want,” said Khing Seng.

In Indonesia alone, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G was already present in Indonesia through the initial sales phase last week.
The program has started from January 9, 2022 to Monday today (10/1/2021). The Galaxy S21 FE itself is sold at a price of IDR 8,999,000 for 128 GB of memory and IDR 9,999,000 for 256 GB.
