Jakarta (ANTARA) – Samsung plans to build 11 factories chip in Texas at an estimated cost of 17 billion US dollars.
Launching GSM Arena on Friday, the plan is still far from being agreed between the Texas government and Samsung but is likely to materialize if Samsung manages to get tax breaks.
If the discussion process is successful then Samsung could boost revenue in Texas to 192 billion US dollars from 11 factories if all are successfully built.

It can also certainly have an impact on the local community, especially job seekers because the factory requires as many as 10,000 jobs to be completed by human labor.
With the breakdown of the factory in the Austin district will account for 25.4 billion US dollars of new investment and 1,800 jobs, while in Taylor will generate 167.6 billion US dollars and 8,200 jobs.
Interestingly, if the deal is successful, then for Texas this will be the largest investment in Central Texas history.
In Samsung’s plan, two factories will be located in Austin, while the other nine will be located in Taylor.
If successful, the factories are targeted to start operating in 2034 and the rest in 2042.
But as already explained all depends on the discussion regarding tax relief from Texas for Samsung.
A Samsung spokeswoman said the incentive application that had just been submitted was part of the company’s long-term planning.
Samsung is currently trying to evaluate the potential to build additional fabrication plants in the US.
The Texas authority’s incentive program for investors will end at the end of this year, and has led to many large companies coming to invest in recent months.
Samsung is part of the company that wants the deal.
The reason for opening more factories is getting stronger in Texas because since 1997 Samsung has been present in Austin and has employed as many as 10,000 people.
This number is the most for Samsung to employ employees in its overseas factories.
