Samsung 837x is a kind of virtual version of the huge Samsung 837 store in New York. The physical store can be found at 837 Washington Street in Manhattan. The digital store will be temporarily open and can be visited via the blockchain computer game Decentraland.
A virtual store
The Samsung 837X store consists of three parts. The first is the “Connectivity Theater.” In this digital theater, Samsung showcases products from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), a massive annual technology show in Las Vegas for consumer electronics. Due to the outbreak of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, a large part of the fair this year is already virtual.
Then there’s the “Sustainability Forest.” Samsung recently announced to cooperate (indirectly) with Cardano (ADA) through Veritree. The Sustainability Forest is a virtual forest with millions of digital trees for visitors.
Third, the 837X store includes a “Customization Stage” where a virtual live dance party is held with DJ Gamma Vibes. Finally, participants can also participate in a scavenger hunt for exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFT) to win.
“At Samsung 837X, we are excited to tell our stories of connectivity, sustainability and customization in a new way, in a unique space. The metaverse allows us to transcend physical and spatial boundaries to create unique virtual experiences that could not happen otherwise. Innovation is in our DNA and we can’t wait for all of you to experience this fast-growing virtual world.”
Said Michelle Crossan-Matos, Senior Vice President Corporate Marketing and Communications at Samsung America. The electronics giant recently announced embrace the world of NFTs by enabling purchases of NFTs through new Samsung smart TVs.
The MANA price, like the rest of the crypto market, took a big plunge last night. At the time of writing, the price is skyrocketing due to the above news. The price shot from $2.88 to $3.42, a whopping 19% gain in less than an hour.
