IS started today the roll out of One UI 2.5, the new interface launched by smartphone with the series Galaxy Note 20, on the flagships presented last winter, namely the series Galaxy S20, but the South Korean giant is not willing to stop there.
In the press release with which Samsung announced the roll out of the new one One UI, there are also models that will receive the new interface over the next few weeks through a special update. “Hidden” at the end of press release it is in fact the list that will make happy even the owners of smartphones presented a couple of years ago, which could have been excluded from the update.
Here is the complete list of Samsung smartphones, in addition to the Galaxy S20 series, that they will receive One UI 2.5, although some functions may not be present due to hardware limitations:
- Samsung Galaxy S10/S10 5G
- Samsung Galaxy S10+
- Samsung Galaxy S10e
- Samsung Galaxy S10 lite
- Samsung Galaxy S9
- Samsung Galaxy S9+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10/Note 10 5G
- Samsung Galaxy Note 1o+/Note 10+ 5G
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite
- Samsung Galaxy Note 9
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip/Z Flip 5G
- Samsung Galaxy Fold/Fold 5G
The presence in the list of Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ and of Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which had only received the One UI 2.1 update after much hesitation. In its press release, Samsung undertakes to “provide the latest update as long as hardware specifications allow for an optimized mobile experience to users“.
It is therefore possible that the South Korean engineers have managed to particularly optimize the interface to make it usable also on the smartphones presented during 2018, which apparently are still considered sufficiently performing.
