Samsung offers free screen replacement for select Galaxy phones affected by green line issue in India

Samsung India has introduced a new initiative to address the green line issue affecting some of its Galaxy phones by offering a complimentary, one-time screen replacement.
Reports regarding the appearance of a green line on Samsung phones, including Galaxy flagships, have been on the rise, with numerous users reaching out to us regarding this issue. While this problem has been in existence for some time, dating back to last year’s complaints on Reddit, it has become more apparent among Galaxy S21 series users following recent software updates.
It appears that Samsung has acknowledged the problem and taken action, at least in the Indian market. The company is now providing a free display replacement for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S22 phones observed with the green line issue. However, this replacement policy is only applicable to devices purchased within the last three years.

While it is not necessary for affected devices to be under warranty to qualify for the free screen replacement, there is a deadline for availing this benefit. Users can book an appointment with a Samsung service center and make use of this offer until April 30, 2024. As an additional perk, Samsung will also provide a free battery replacement along with the brand-new display.
