Samsung Odyssey Neo G9
Samsung keeps pushing for bigger and bigger screens, launched last year 55″ Odyssey Ark Next, a 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 was released at CES this year. However, while the Neo G9 is slightly better in terms of diagonal length, it has a 32:9 aspect ratio, so it should be smaller than the Odyssey Ark in area. That said, its resolution is a whopping 7,860 x 2,160, which is almost exactly the same as two 31.5-inch 4K screens next to each other. The visual effect must be amazing. However, it may be a little more difficult to turn the neck.
Samsung says the G9 Neo is the first UHD dual-resolution mini-LED display with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and HDR1000 specs, along with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, which will far exceed the upper limit of current games. This will also be Samsung’s first display equipped with DisplayPort 2.1, but the price will be announced later.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9
In addition to Neo G9, Samsung also launched a 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 curved OLED gaming display. This is following G8 OLED Odyssey Then came the second curved OLED screen, stretched from the G8’s 21:9 ratio to the same 32:9 ratio as the G9 Neo, with a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440. It also has a 240Hz refresh rate and supports HDR True Black 400 as well as Adaptive Sync, Freesync Premium and other specs.
Samsung M8 smart monitor
In the non-gaming monitor part, the first is the updated version of the Smart Monitor M8 series. It is itself a 32-inch 4K screen, but like other members of the Smart Monitor series, it focuses on built-in smart features rather than the specifics of the screen itself. In addition to streaming video from various sources, it can also connect to cloud gaming services, has a built-in Microsoft 365 app and has SmartThings hub function, as well as a removable SlimFit lens.
Samsung Viewfinity S9
Finally, Samsung’s first 27-inch 5K monitor, aimed at creative professionals. This Viewfinity S9 has a resolution of 5120 x 2880 (16:9), a wide color gamut covering 99% DCI-PC and HDR 600 support. It offers a detachable 4K webcam and has ports for HDMI, DisplayPort, USB -C and more. You can even calibrate the Viewfinity S9 using the SmartThings app and your smartphone camera.
