Samsung Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs from the 2022 lineup, first impressions

Yesterday, April 19, for an hour, we were in contact with 4 televisions representative of Samsung’s new 2022 range. Two Samsung consultants explained to me the novelties and peculiarities of the 2022 television range.

The biggest and most capable smart TV I’ve come across is the Samsung 75QN900B, with a massive, nearly borderless screen.

The new premium QN900B range includes six series, ranging in size from 43 to 85 inches. At the image level, the Samsung Neo QLED 2022 range brings a number of advances: the Quantum Mini LED light source has been further improved with the addition of 14-bit HDR mapping (which gives even more detail to dark scenes or bright), while Quantum Matrix technology (which controls Samsung’s Mini LEDs with intense precision) is designed to be even more precise alongside Shape Adaptive Light.

On the sound side, the Samsung Neo QLED 2022 televisions are equipped with multi-directional speakers and, for the first time, they are compatible with Dolby Atmos technology.

On the side photo, 4 of the 8 rear speakers, the sound bar which completes the sound part, which is very good in any case, and the “box”, placed on the rear foot, with the connector part.

Sound enthusiasts can amp up the audio component by pairing it with a Samsung soundbar from the new range. That means high audio quality without the hassles of HDMI cables. Dolby Atmos Wireless is also compatible with Samsung’s new Ultra Slim 2022 soundbar.

The other smart TV in the Neo QLED lineup, the Samsung 65QN95A, in the showroom is a gaming-focused 4K, or at least that’s how it was introduced to us. It has several console gaming options: Motion Xcelerator Turbo Pro 4K 144Hz, Super Ultrawide GameView and Game Bar.

Specifically designed for gamers, we have:

NEO Qled TVs have a built-in Smart Hub through which they can connect to a variety of smart devices. They also offer two types of screen calibration (Basic and Advanced) for the first time, which is done with your smartphone through the Smart Things app.

Although not as popular as Neo QLED TVs, Lifestyle TVs are my favorite. No matter how good or how thin conventional TVs are, most of the time they’re just big black rectangles hanging on the wall. This is not the case with The Frame or The Serif, whose designs, shapes and applications are original and sometimes even eccentric.

The Frame, for example, offers an up-to-date art store that gives subscribers quick access to over 1,600 works of art from renowned art institutions.

Samsung The Frame’s matte display diffuses light from different angles and directions by introducing a raised surface. The feeling one feels when a painting is displayed on the screen makes you want to touch the canvas like a child, to feel the texture of the painting.

The Serif features a matte finish casing to match the Matte Display, which accentuates the design and makes you wonder at first touch if it is just a decorative and futuristic object. The screen is big enough (43 inches) to remember it’s a TV and not an improvised cinema, and the feet allow it to be moved. If you need it, you can lift it up and place it right in front of the sofa.

The Sero, which is also part of Samsung’s Lifestyle TV range, comes with a host of enhanced features. Matte display and new smart features have been adopted for an optimized vertical screen experience.

The Frame 2022 will be available in sizes 32″, 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″ and 85″, the Serif in sizes 43″, 50″, 55″ and 65″, and the Sero in size 43 ″.

The new 2022 line of Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs, as well as the 2022 series of soundbars are now commercially available from Samsung stores and partners.
