Introduced at first Samsung only one lone flagship at a time – galaxy s. In spring 2017, Samsung also presented a larger model called “Plus”. Almost three years ago, the S-series finally became a trio with the addition of the taller hen “Ultra”.
According to The Elec, Samsung may ditch the Plus model and introduce just two new S phones next year: the Galaxy S24 and the S24 Ultra. If the speculation is correct, it could be because the Plus model has been given a slightly strange position in the market, somewhere between the entry-level model which stands out for being small and the flagship Ultra model which stands out for offering Samsung better technology .
As a rule, most customers choose the Ultra or the cheapest cell phone in the series. The fact that the Plus model that Apple introduced last fall to replace the Mini was the least popular in the iPhone 14 series could also be a contributing factor, if the rumor turns out to be true.
