To celebrate the launch of its new e-sports screen series in 2023, Samsung has released a trilogy of brand short films directed by well-known South Korean director Yunsung Kang. His famous works include “Crime City” (2017) and “National Hero” (2019). ) and “Underground Elite” (2022). The short film shows the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9, the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC), and the 55-inch upgraded Odyssey Ark (G97NC). It tells a combat adventure where modernity and the Middle Ages meet. The audience can follow the T1 team , watch how Samsung’s gaming screens create amazing turning points. Q: What do you think of Odyssey?OdysseyHow does the new model perform?
Faker：Odyssey gaming screens are getting better and better, and the new 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9’s large screen is eye-catching and impressive. When you look at it from a distance, you can’t feel its size. When you get closer, you realize that the screen is amazingly big. For those who like big screens, Odyssey Neo G9 is definitely the first choice.
Oner：The Odyssey OLED G9 is so big that it is almost like a TV. It is different from ordinary traditional monitors and is very enjoyable when watching videos.
Zeus：Every e-sports screen size is very large. The ultra-wide screen provides a wider map view and an extremely immersive gaming experience, which helps me implement more strategies when playing “League of Legends”.

Q: As e-sports players, what is your primary consideration when choosing a monitor?
Faker：Most players pay great attention to response time and update rate. I would choose a monitor with a fast response time to minimize image retention.
Oner：The refresh rate is most important to me and I will definitely check if the monitor supports 240Hz refresh rate.
Dig it up：I am using a monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate, but a monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz or higher should be sufficient for most users.
Gumayusi：Unlike some players, I am not very sensitive to monitor specifications, but since I am used to high refresh rate screens, downgrading may limit my capabilities. I still want to focus on the game itself.
Zeus：I agree with Oner, update rate is really important. I used to have a monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate, but since I switched to a monitor with a higher refresh rate, I can’t go back. The gaming experience is much smoother.

Q: Could you please tell me about the planning of this Odyssey?OdysseyWhat is the main goal of a branded short film?
Jiang Yuncheng:I focused on the large size of the screen, so I used the concept of large-scale medieval warfare to highlight the advantages of the Odyssey eSports screen.
Q: Can you share the highlights from the filming process?
Jiang Yuncheng:One of the highlights is the unexpected plot twist. The story tells that the T1 team changed the entire battle, and then the story reversed. When the team members thought they had won, Faker expanded the screen angle to reveal more enemies surging in from both sides. This plot twist is sure to keep viewers riveted.

Q: How does it feel to take a break from daily competition and training and devote yourself to shooting a brand short film?
Oner、ZeusandDig it up：The choreography combined with our signature moves was impressive. None of us can dance, so we were a little worried at first, but the choreographer’s detailed guidance helped us complete the shoot smoothly. Hopefully fans will enjoy these short films.
Faker：This is a very fresh experience. Although I had experience filming TV shows in front of many cameras before, this was my first time dancing. I felt a little uncomfortable yet excited.

Q: Experiencing OdysseyOdysseyIn the process of using e-sports monitors, which one do you like best?
Faker：The 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 is my first choice. Its fast response time and stylish metal back panel design are impressive.
Zeus：I also chose the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9. I like the charming rainbow light effect of Infinity Core Lighting, and the metal design adds a fashionable style to the gaming screen.
Dig it up：The 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 attracts me the most. The white glossy back panel gives it a luxurious feel.
Gumayusi：I’ve been using the Odyssey Ark in the lounge at T1 headquarters and I really like the multi-viewing feature because I play multiple games at the same time. But I prefer big screens, so my first choice is the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9.
Oner：It’s honestly hard to choose. The newly launched Odyssey models are all great. Each one features a large screen and wide viewing angle. I like them all.
