Samsung launches the Galaxy Fold 2 rather than launching the Galaxy S11 series. South Korean media today report that the devices are indeed being unveiled at the same time, but that the first device simply appears on the market earlier.
According to Yonhap News Agency Samsung is in talks with the three largest providers of South Korea. The plan is then to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 on the South Korean market immediately after unveiling. If this information is correct then it ensures that the foldable device is available earlier than the Galaxy S11 series.

In the past few months we have heard a lot about the Galaxy Fold 2. In addition to being Samsung himself gave a taste of the device in a video, the first photos of the device also surfaced recently. For example, we know that it is a folding phone that is equipped with the same kind of folding mechanism as the Motorola RAZR, which appeared earlier this year. It means that the smartphone cannot be folded out as a tablet, but that the phone can simply be made smaller. This is useful when, for example, you have to store it in your pocket.
Despite the fact that the device has not yet been revealed, there are already a number of hardware specifications as good as known. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 would get the same 108MP camera and lens with 5x optical zoom as the Galaxy S11. In addition, there is a rumor that the device gets a price tag of $ 845, although there is already talk of a price tag of $ 1000.

The device is therefore revealed at the same time as the Galaxy S11, but will therefore be available earlier. Whether that is also the case in markets outside South Korea seems to be unknown.
