Samsung is ready to announce the Exynos chipset to challenge the Snapdragon 875

Second chipset is included in the categoryi flagship or top-end. Nah, it looks like the South Korean giant is ready to unveil the Exynos 1080 SoC in Shanghai, China.

Samsung has now announced the launch chipset on the official Weibo Exynos channel. The brand hasposting picture teaser which clearly mentions Exynos 1080. Apart from that, the image also reveals the launch date which is set for November 12th. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of chipset of the Korean giant.

Earlier this month, call Giz China, Samsung mem-posting a video with the theme “Inspiring Innovation and the Immortal Sword 2030” on his Exynos account. The video reveals that chipset will be released in the second half of this year.

Everything We Know about the Exynos 1080
As previously mentioned, the Exynos 1080 chipset will be the company’s flagship offering for its Galaxy devices.

The Exynos 1080 SoC will be manufactured via a 5nm fabrication process, making it the company’s first chip to use the 5nm process. Apple’s latest A14 Bionic chipset also uses the same fabrication process.

Since we are looking at a 5nm process, it is expected that the SoC features lower energy consumption along with higher performance. The Exynos 1080 consists of four Cortex-A78 large cores along with four Cortex-A55 small cores.

For graphics, the chipset will use the Mali-G78 GPU. Earlier this month, the first results of the AnTuTu benchmark from chipset it appears on the web.
