There was a time when this was not the case, but today Samsung is one of the fastest manufacturers to deliver the latest Android version. According to new information, European users will be able to receive updates even sooner in the future, thanks to a new firmware unification effort.
A Galaxy Club Samsung is set to develop firmware with a unified country-specific code (CSC) that will be applicable to all smartphones available in Europe. Its name is EUX, and its ID can already be found on devices like the Galaxy A52, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3, but the unification is said to be extended to most devices this year.
To make what is described here a little more acceptable, the development essentially means that the South Korean manufacturer will be able to ship the new updates to all of its European devices at once, which most people will most likely be happy with. Due to past practice, some users had to wait longer before the update was allowed for that region, which puts an end to EUX. THE Galaxy Club you know that members of the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy A53, A33 and A13 will already be released with this innovation.
What may even be interesting is whether the devices marketed by service providers will also benefit from the new software approach, or whether this will be the prerogative of card-independent mobiles alone. It is also not known whether standardization applies only to European markets or will be introduced outside the continent. If Samsung is indeed preparing for such a standardization that will accelerate software upgrades, we will probably hear about it in the near future, and hopefully the manufacturer will not be ashamed to reveal its plans in detail.
