Samsung just announced its presence Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro which was inspired by one of his old folding phones. This limited edition cellphone was showcased not long after Samsung released the Thom Browne edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is inspired by the SGH-E700, Samsung’s foldable cellphone which was first launched in 2003. At that time the SGH-E700 brought a big breakthrough as Samsung’s first cellphone to have a built-in antenna.
The SGH-E700’s DNA can also be found in the current Galaxy Z Flip line. Like an external screen that uses an OLED panel and is accompanied by a rear camera.
“This innovation, together with the widespread popularity of cellphones, plays an important role in advancing Samsung’s position in the cellphone industry,” said Samsung in its official statement, as quoted by detikINET, Monday (30/10/2023).

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro comes in a combination of indigo blue and silver, the same as the iconic SGH-E700. Samsung also includes a UI with a design inspired by 2000s-style pixel graphics, and exclusive animations in Flex Windows, aka cover screens that show city views at night.
Samsung also includes unique accessories in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro sales package, such as three Flipsuit cards decorated with Samsung logos from various eras, a Flipsuit case, and a collector card engraved with a unique serial number.
Sadly, Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro not available in Indonesia. This cellphone will be released on a limited basis in South Korea, England, Germany, Spain and Australia on November 1, followed by France on November 2.
Consumers in these countries can buy the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro online via the official Samsung website. However, Samsung has not revealed the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro.
