Samsung’s recent products have taken inspiration from Apple, with the Galaxy Watch Ultra looking a lot like the Apple Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Buds 3/3 Pro being almost a copy of the AirPods. It turns out that this copying bothers Samsung’s management.

According to Korean media Aju NewsSamsung Chairman Jay Y. Lee recently ordered Samsung’s mobile division to reevaluate its plans and took strict measures against some executives, including the division’s president, TM Roh. The chairman took the measures after the release of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. And if today’s indiscretions are to be believed, the mood is pretty bad internally.
This copy of the design had already been noticed by Internet users with the leaks published a few days before Samsung’s official announcement. It continues today, with several visitors to Samsung stores in South Korea who do not hesitate to point out that these are clones of Apple products. This particularly annoys the company’s management. Added to this is the fact that Samsung had problems with his headphonesindicating to buyers that they can have an exchange or refund.

These developments could force Samsung’s mobile division to reevaluate its recent choices and do better with its upcoming products. However, we’ll probably have to wait a bit to see how things play out, as the next major launch in the Galaxy lineup is just a few months away.
