KOMPAS.com – Samsung recently launched a folding screen phone Galaxy Z Fold 2 at the beginning of last September globally. This folding cellphone is alleged to be entering the Indonesian market in the near future.
The reason is, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 certification appears on page Domestic Content Level ( TKDN) Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin). The certificate numbered 768 / SJ-IND.8 / TKDN / 8/2020 dated 31 August 2020.
In the “brand and type” column the certificate says Samsung SM-F916B. According to the site Sammobile, the code refers to the model number of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

On the Ministry of Industry’s website, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 pocketed a TKDN value of 48.98 percent. This value is far above the standard stipulated by the Ministry of Industry which sets a minimum value of 30 percent.
When did it start selling in Indonesia?
Some time ago, Product Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Taufiq Furqan said that Samsung is indeed preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Indonesia.
Taufiq said that this folding screen cellphone is an imported product, so the preparation for its launch is different from other Galaxy cellphone series, which are assembled in Indonesia. Including TKDN certification which must be taken by route software this.
Unfortunately, Taufiq is reluctant to mention the exact launch date of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Most likely, according to Taufiq, the launch will not be far from the global launch.
“We will try as quickly as possible, so that consumers in the country do not wait or are willing to buy this cellphone abroad, considering the conditions are not possible,” explained Taufiq.
KompasTekno has requested confirmation from Samsung regarding the launch schedule for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Indonesia, but there has been no response until this news is broadcast.
Specification
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a design that is somewhat similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Fold which is folded horizontally like a book.

This phone is equipped with a 7.6-inch AMOLED 2X Inifinity Flex Display main screen (QXGA Plus resolution) refresh rate 120 Hz. Secondary screen (cover display) has a 6.2-inch landscape screen with a Super AMOLED type screen and HD Plus resolution.
The Galaxy Z Fold is equipped with a total of five cameras. Three cameras are embedded on the back, all of which are 12 MP resolution. Then on the front there are two 10MP selfie cameras embedded in the camera holes on the main and secondary screens.
This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset combined with 12GB RAM (LPDDR) and 256GB internal (UFS 3.1). Inside the shell is immersed in a supported 4,500 mAh battery fast charging 25 watt cable and 11 watt wireless.
It is not yet known what price range the Galaxy Z Fold2 is if it is marketed in Indonesia. But as an illustration, in the United States, this cellphone is sold for 1,990 US dollars, or around Rp.29.3 million.
