Samsung is reportedly preparing a new chipset for the Galaxy Watch7 series
Exynos W940 is supposed to be built on 3nm architecture
This should improve performance and battery life
According to the latest information, Samsung is working on the new 3nm chipwhich is supposed to tick in the upcoming generation of the Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch. It will of course be more powerful, but thanks to the architecture used, it will also offer better energy efficiency, so we could expect (among other things) improved battery life.
It would definitely be time for the South Korean firm to finally upgrade the chipset in its watches. The Exynos W920 ticks the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5 series, the slightly improved (although still 5nm) Exynos W930 chip was then shown together with the Galaxy Watch6.
The upcoming Galaxy Watch7 series is set to tick Exynos W940, which is to be built on the new 3nm process. A report by Korean media Biz Daily also talks about the fact that noip takes up less space in the watch, so a larger battery could be stuffed into the watch. It could be assumed that the new series of watches will be launched by the South Korean company again in the summer, an earlier presentation is not on the agenda. At the moment, Samsung is mainly focused on the launch of the Galaxy S24 series.
