Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is still available in Polish stores, although many years have passed since the premiere. Now, of course, it is not worth buying it, but once it was the ideal of many ManiaKs, also mine. What did the Galaxy S7 Edge, the best phone on the market at the time, impress?
Probably every ManiaK had a phone that at a given time was its ideal (or almost ideal), and yet it was never purchased, for many different reasons.
My perfect phones
In my case, this happened twice, actually two and a half times *. At one time, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact seemed to me to be a phone perfectly suited to mine, but it cost more than my student budget at that time.
A few years later he showed up Samsung Galaxy S7 Edgewho, despite 6 years of experience it is still available in some Polish stores. For example, we can find him on the Polish Amazon for over PLN 3,200.
Of course I in no way recommend buying this old man for that kind of money in 2022. I just decided to use his tracking as an opportunity for a remembrance post, as before for Galaxy S6 Edge (I’m glad you welcomed that post so warmly).
What did the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge impress me with?
I honestly admit that so far I regret that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge did not end up in my pocket. This happened for two reasons, but I will not mention them here.

Let’s start with that In this model, Samsung improved what it broke in its predecessor. The memory card slot returned and the case became waterproof again. Apparently, Samsung obeyed customer requests in this way, although some saw here deliberate action already at the design stage of the Galaxy S6.
Anyway, The Galaxy S7 Edge probably had everything I expected from a phone at that time. It can be said that it was one of the few models that for many ManiaKs was an ideal or almost an ideal.
A brilliant AMOLED screen, the best camera in a smartphone, a good processor (Exynos was in great shape then), a solid battery with wireless charging, IP68, completely equipped, still reasonable dimensions and a physical home button with a fingerprint reader – these were the biggest advantages of the Galaxy S7 Edge.
What was missing? Above all stereo speakers i USB Type-C connectors in a higher standard than 2.0. Seriously, I don’t remember any other aspects that I could pick on at the time.
If only that is why The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was aging very slowlyand after further price reductions, it became an increasingly attractive purchasing choice.
I don’t remember any phone calls ever getting so close to meeting all my expectations. This of course does not mean that I am complaining about my current phone as OnePlus Nord 2 5G works well in my hands.
