Instead of using the old sensor, the S24 Ultra reportedly features a new 200 MP ISOCELL HP2SX camera sensor. This upgraded sensor is superior to the previous sensor and can record 8K videos at 30fps.
This series is also said to be equipped with advanced features such as Super Quad Phase Detection autofocus and offers various modes for taking photos in 12 MP or 50 MP resolution. Leaked by tipster Ice Universethis new sensor offers an optical format of 1/1.3 inches and has a pixel size of 0.6 microns.
Complementing the main camera, the device will have an enhanced 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This is expected to result in a 5x optical quality zoom, taking advantage of the larger sensor and in-sensor cropping.
On the selfie camera side it will remain the same. For selfies, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is also rumored to retain the 12 MP selfie camera, 12 MP ultrawide and 10 MP telephoto from its predecessor.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, along with 12GB and 16GB RAM options. Storage options are expected to range from 256GB to 1TB. There is also talk of a 2 TB variant.
The device is expected to have a titanium frame, thicker bezels, a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, wireless charging, and the ability to charge other devices via reverse wireless charging.
The S24 Ultra’s screen is expected to be very bright, potentially exceeding 2,200 nits in brightness and even reaching up to 2,800 nits. Additionally, Samsung is exploring battery technology inspired by electric cars, which could result in faster charging speeds, perhaps up to 65W.
