Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S24 are increasingly spreading on the internet. Most recently, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to be incorporating the features of the iPhone 15 Pro, namely that it is clad in titanium material.
According to tipster The Elec, Samsung plans to coat the Galaxy S24 Ultra with titanium material for the first time. If true, the most premium model would likely be lighter in weight, with increased physical durability.
On the iPhone 15 Pro, titanium material is one of the main selling points. In its marketing campaign, Apple stated that titanium brings a significant improvement over the stainless steel used in previous series.
According to leaks, the titanium material on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is supplied from a supplier partner from China, namely Solomon. The vendor provides processing for titanium alloy, The Elec reported.
Quoted from Android Central, Tuesday (7/11/2023), the titanium alloy on the Galaxy S24 Ultra will appear on the back of the cellphone. The frame uses premium aluminum.
If Apple and Samsung already use titanium material, it is not impossible that other brands will follow this trend.
News about the Galaxy S24 Ultra with titanium was previously shared by tipster OnLeaks. He said, this variant will be much lighter than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Other iPhone 15 Features on Galaxy S24 Ultra
Apart from titanium, there are other features of the iPhone 15 that the Galaxy S24 will likely adopt. Samsung LSI Systems President Park Yong-in confirmed that the 2024 Galaxy will support satellite services.
Collect GSMArenathis update can be a reference to the Exynos Modem 5300 which supports 2-way communication via satellite.
Apple has already used it on the iPhone 14, called SOS Emergency Satellite.
In the latest iPhone 15 series, Apple still maintains this feature to help users interact without being connected to the internet.
The company provides an update by allowing users to use satellites to show them the way while on the move.
This feature is free for 2 years for iPhone 15 users. However, this feature is not yet available in Indonesia.
